Science and Spirituality Quote - Fred Hoyle
Fred hoyle, born on June 24 1915, was one of the most distinguished and controversial scientists of the 20th century.
He was widely known both by scientists and the public as one of the originators of a new theory of the universe. He was
a fluent writer and speaker and became the main expositor of this new theory of the steady state, or continuous creation, according to which the universe had existed for an infinite past time and would continue infinitely into the future, as opposed to what Hoyle styled the "big bang" theory. Hoyle died in 2001.
- "A commonsense interpretation of the facts suggests that a superintellect has monkeyed with physics, as well as with chemistry and biology, and that there are no blind forces worth speaking about in nature. The numbers one calculates from the facts seem to me so overwhelming as to put this conclusion almost beyond question."
- English mathematician and astronomer. Fred Hoyle
