Midway into his high school career, Freddy knew what he wanted out of life. He was a marathon runner, heavily into track
and field and looking at a scholarship to attend an Ivy League school in the fall, and all because of his ability to run faster,
jump higher and jump longer than the next guy in his county.
As much as Freddy was blessed with his physical prowess, he felt cursed with his inability to take one on the chin, to lose
at anything. His temper was fierce, rivaling Sonny’s. Freddy also toyed with wrestling and boxing as a more aggressive
way of releasing his tensions. He dated a very wealthy girl that had gone away to England during their last 2 semesters
with her family, following her father as he worked as a systems analyst for companies all over the world. Fred missed her,
but found himself admitting that he would likely dump her the moment he hit college.
Binge and purge. That’s Fred’s motto. Go hard or go home. This was true to life in all things, partying, working out, dating,
he did everything as well as he could and that was usually better than most.
After the Apocalypse Fred finds he is well equipped, mentally, to cope with the end of the world. Stunned at his own
revelation, he falls into what routine Joel offers as reassurances of their survival. Guard duties, cleaning, patrolling their perimeter.
In Rebirth, Fred finds he is capable of much more than just violence against a stranger, but that he is capable of following orders without forethought or conscience.
